About the Conference
The Fourth Annual Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Conference will be held on Saturday, October 11th, 2008 in the Mayer Auditorium of the Keith Administration Building at the Health Sciences Campus of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California.
The conference theme, "A Revolution In Research", was selected because it reflects the increasing appearance of LDN articles in medical journals and the growth of LDN use in clinical practice.
During the course of the day, the attendees, who come from the far corners of the world as well as from Europe, can expect to be treated to a series of expert presentations from a number of researchers, physicians, and LDN advocates.
Presenters scheduled to speak include:
- Dr. David Gluck — Emcee and overview of "The Year in LDN."
- Dr. Jaquelyn McCandless — The study of LDN for HIV in Mali as well as information on LDN for Autism.
- Dr. Burt Berkson — Private practice experiences with LDN for cancer and autoimmune diseases.
- Dr. Tom Gilhooly — Clinical trial in Scotland on urological effects of LDN in multiple sclerosis.
- Dr. Maira Gironi — A multi-institutional clinical trial of LDN for MS in Italy.
- Dr. Jill Smith — Phase II trial of LDN in Crohn’s disease at Pennsylvania State University.
- Dr. Skip Lenz — Pharmacy survey of patients using LDN.
The conference is made possible through the efforts of conference organizer Sunny Sedlock and the following Platinum Sponsors: Irmat Pharmacy of New York, Quinn’s Pharmacy of Ireland, and Skip’s Pharmacy of Florida.
Ms. Sedlock has designated this Conference as a fundraiser for Dr. Jaquelyn McCandless’ LDN for HIV trial in Mali. Each conference attendee is requested to please include with his/her registration form a minimum contribution of $50.00 made payable to The Ojai Foundation Africa Fund. The Ojai Foundation Africa Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your contribution is 100% tax deductible. Please give as much as you can to this worthy cause — together we can have far-reaching effects on the worldwide recognition and use of LDN for HIV/AIDS.
Conference Registration will open at 7:30 a.m., at which time participants will have the opportunity to partake in a continental breakfast. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon.
